Chase IHG One Rewards Premier Business Card earns 10x at IHG Hotels, includes a free night annually, Platinum IHG status, and 4th-night-free redemptions.

The Chase IHG One Rewards Premier Business Credit Card is a co-branded hotel credit card issued by Chase that earns IHG One Rewards points at IHG Hotels and Resorts properties. It carries a $99 annual fee and provides IHG Platinum Elite status to cardholders.

What the product is structurally

Structurally, the IHG One Rewards Premier Business Card is a Visa Business credit card on a revolving credit line. Points earned deposit directly into the cardholder’s IHG One Rewards account.

The earn structure is: 10x points at IHG Hotels and Resorts, 5x on travel, dining, and gas, and 3x on all other purchases. These are among the highest earning rates in the co-branded hotel card category.

IHG Platinum Elite status is included as a core benefit. Platinum Elite provides late checkout, room upgrades when available, early check-in when available, and bonus points on IHG stays, without requiring a minimum number of qualifying nights.

How it works in practice

Points accumulate in the IHG One Rewards account used during the application. Hotel stays at IHG properties (which include InterContinental, Kimpton, Holiday Inn, Crowne Plaza, Regent, and other brands) earn at the 10x rate on total room costs and direct hotel charges.

Each year after the first, the card provides a free night reward valid at IHG properties up to 40,000 points in redemption cost. This certificate is issued on each card anniversary.

When redeeming IHG points for award stays, the fourth consecutive night at the same property is free. This 4th-night-free benefit effectively reduces the cost of longer stays by 25%.

A 140,000-point welcome bonus is available after meeting a defined spending threshold in the first few months of account opening, as of early 2026.

Fees and pricing mechanics

The annual fee is $99. No foreign transaction fees apply.

The free night certificate is awarded annually on the card anniversary — it is not earned through spending and is not tied to a threshold. The certificate is valid for 12 months from issue.

The 4th-night-free benefit requires a minimum 4-night award stay at the same IHG property.

Limits, eligibility, and availability

Chase’s 5/24 rule applies. Approval is subject to both personal and business credit evaluation. A personal guaranty is required.

IHG Platinum Elite is provided through card holding, with no minimum stay requirement. It is a mid-tier status in IHG’s program; Diamond Elite is the highest status and remains unavailable through card spend alone.

Tradeoffs, risks, or limitations

The high point earn rate at IHG properties is most valuable for cardholders who stay at IHG brands regularly. Businesses that primarily use Marriott, Hilton, or Hyatt properties will not earn the elevated rate on hotel stays and derive less utility from the status benefit.

IHG One Rewards points are generally considered lower in per-point value than Hyatt, Hilton, or Marriott points on a direct comparison basis, because IHG’s award redemption costs tend to be higher relative to the points earned per dollar. The headline 10x earn rate must be interpreted in the context of the underlying point value.

The 4th-night-free benefit requires a four-night minimum and applies only during award stays — not cash stays. Businesses with short trip patterns will rarely access this benefit.
