Wirex One is Wirex’s stablecoin account and card, with membership tiers instead of a subscription. The help article on how membership works was modified on October 15, 2026, which is the recency marker for the tier table below. Wirex also sells card and account infrastructure to other companies. That business is not the same product as the Wirex One app.
On October 5, 2026, the official Wirex account described Wirex One as private stablecoin banking for a mass-affluent user, with Wirex infrastructure underneath and Arc as the settlement layer. On October 15, 2026, the same account said Wirex was powering Pulsar, a separate app, including its cards, named accounts, and payment connections. Wirex One’s own help center was still publishing tier rules that day.
How is Wirex One structured as an account and card?
Wirex One combines multi-currency accounts with a card. The funding guide lists USD, EUR, and GBP accounts, funded by bank transfer, by an external card, or by a stablecoin deposit credited 1:1 into the matching currency account. USD-based stablecoins credit the USD account. EUR-based stablecoins credit the EUR account. The guide says Wirex does not charge a conversion fee or a spread on that deposit.
The iOS listing describes the balances as non-custodial wallets on Circle’s Arc network, with wallet security from Privy, and says Wirex does not hold the funds. The help center describes named accounts that can receive salary, ACH, SEPA, and Faster Payments. Those two descriptions sit side by side in October 2026 sources. The help center is the source for fees and limits. The store listing is the source for the custody sentence.
The marketed card set is a virtual card, a physical Visa or Mastercard, and a Visa Signature metal card. The product page says acceptance covers 80 million merchants in 150+ countries, including ATMs. Membership does not require a monthly fee or a lock-up. The tier moves with the portfolio.
How do the five membership tiers change the card?
Tier qualification uses two tests at once: the total portfolio value, and the share of that portfolio held in WPAY. Balances in the account and eligible Earn balances count toward the portfolio, in USD. A portfolio under $500 stays on Base. A carried-over Wirex App plan can show a different mark and is not graded on this table.
| Tier | Minimum portfolio | WPAY share of the portfolio | USD cashback | Monthly redemption cap |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Base | None | None | 0.50% | $25 |
| Premium | $500 | 1% | 1.00% | $100 |
| Elite | $2,500 | 3% | 3.00% | $300 |
| Private | $25,000 | 5% | 5.00% | $1,000 |
| Bespoke | $50,000 | 10% | 8.00% | $2,000 |
Cashback is credited in USD after the card transaction settles, at the tier in force at the time of the transaction. A later tier change does not reprice cashback already credited. Amount above the monthly redemption cap stays in the rewards balance for a later month.
A $200 purchase on Premium, with both qualification tests met, accrues $2 of USD cashback. That $2 counts toward the $100 redemption cap for the month. The same purchase on Base would accrue $1, and only $25 of Base rewards can be redeemed in that month.
What fees and limits does the help center publish?
The card-limits article lists the foreign-transaction fee as free. It was modified on July 21, 2026, and it says regional limits in the app can differ.
| Card | Max purchase | Purchases per month | ATM per day | ATM per month |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Virtual | 30,000 EUR | 30,000 EUR | Not available | Not available |
| Physical | 30,000 EUR | 30,000 EUR | 750 EUR | 5,000 EUR |
| Metal | 30,000 EUR | 75,000 EUR, raisable on request | 750 EUR | 5,000 EUR |
Wirex does not charge for bank transfers or for the 1:1 stablecoin deposit in the funding guide. An external-card top-up can carry a Wirex fee that the app shows before confirmation, plus any fee from the card issuer. Stablecoin deposits do not require verification. Bank transfers and card top-ups do.
The membership benefits article sets a fee-free monthly trading allowance that steps up with the tier: none on Base, then $2,500, $10,000, $50,000, and unlimited on Bespoke. Volume past the allowance pays the standard trading fee until the next month. Stablecoin earn boosts on that page run from no boost on Base to +0.5%, +1.0%, +2.0%, and +3.0% from Premium through Bespoke. Those boosts are additions to the underlying earn rate, not a standalone APY.
The same article rebates 50% of named subscriptions, capped at the standard plan price and at a monthly rebate ceiling of $5, $15, $40, or $87.50 from Premium through Bespoke. The rebate is paid in USD at month end. It is not added on top of an unlimited cashback rate.
Who can open Wirex One, and where does the card work?
The product page says the card is built for use in 150+ countries and that virtual, physical, and metal cards unlock as the membership tier rises. The limits article says the figures can vary by region and that the app shows the limit that applies. Verification is required for bank transfers and card top-ups, and it is not required for an on-chain stablecoin deposit.
Metal’s monthly purchase ceiling can be raised on request. ATM access starts with the physical card. A decline with a sufficient balance can still be a limit or a merchant check.
What tradeoffs come with tiered WPAY cashback?
The 8% cashback rate applies on Bespoke only when the portfolio is at least $50,000 and at least 10% of it is WPAY. WPAY’s market price can move an account across tiers without a new deposit of dollars. Cashback that is earned and cashback that can be redeemed in the same month are different numbers because of the cap.
The App Store custody sentence and the help center’s named accounts are both official descriptions, and they emphasize different layers. A reader comparing them still has to treat the help-center fee table as the operational price list. Wirex’s October 15, 2026 Pulsar posts describe infrastructure for another app. They do not say the Wirex One card was withdrawn.
Stablecoin balances and token-linked tiers are not insured deposits. A cleared card payment follows card-network dispute rules.
Common questions
Does Wirex One charge a monthly fee?
The membership article says there is no subscription fee and no lock-up. The tier is recalculated from the portfolio and the WPAY share.
Is the 8% cashback paid in a token?
The cashback article says eligible card cashback is in USD. The rate at Bespoke is 8%. Redemption of that USD is capped at $2,000 in a calendar month.
Is Wirex One the same product as Pulsar?
No. Pulsar is a separate app. Wirex said on October 15, 2026 that its infrastructure powers Pulsar’s card and accounts. Wirex One remains the Wirex-branded account and card documented in the help center.
