The U.S. Bank Business Altitude Connect World Elite Mastercard® is a business travel credit card that earns elevated points on travel, dining, and fuel. It carries a $95 annual fee, waived in the first year, and targets business owners with moderate travel spending.
What the product is structurally
The Business Altitude Connect is a World Elite Mastercard issued by U.S. Bank on a revolving credit line. It earns U.S. Bank Altitude Rewards points across multiple travel and business categories.
The category earn structure is: 5x on prepaid hotels and car rentals booked through the U.S. Bank Altitude Rewards Center, 4x on travel including airfare and other travel purchases, 2x on dining, gas, and EV charging stations, and 1x on all other purchases.
The card includes a Priority Pass Select membership that provides access to participating airport lounges — up to four complimentary visits per year. Additional visits beyond four are charged per entry.
How it works in practice
The 5x rate on prepaid hotels and rental cars applies specifically to bookings made through U.S. Bank’s Altitude Rewards Center. Bookings made directly with hotels or rental car companies at standard rates do not earn the 5x tier; they fall into the 4x travel category.
Points are redeemable through the Altitude Rewards portal for travel (at 1.5 cents per point when booking through the U.S. Bank portal), cash back or statement credits (at 1 cent per point), or merchandise and gift cards.
A 40,000-point welcome bonus is available after spending $6,000 in the first 180 days of account opening. At the travel portal redemption rate, this is equivalent to $600 in travel.
Fees and pricing mechanics
The annual fee is $95, waived the first year. No foreign transaction fees apply.
The Priority Pass access is included with the four complimentary visits. Each visit beyond four is charged the standard Priority Pass per-entry fee, currently $35 per person.
The variable APR applies to carried balances.
Limits, eligibility, and availability
Eligibility requires a U.S. business and personal guaranty. U.S. Bank does not publish minimum revenue thresholds.
The card is available nationally. An existing U.S. Bank relationship is not required.
Tradeoffs, risks, or limitations
The 4 complimentary Priority Pass visits per year is limited compared to cards at higher fee tiers that provide unlimited lounge access. Frequent business travelers who visit airport lounges more than four times annually would exhaust this benefit.
The 5x rate is locked to the U.S. Bank Altitude Rewards Center portal. Businesses that book travel through corporate tools, negotiated rates, or directly with suppliers cannot capture the highest earn tier.
Points at 1.5 cents per point on travel are competitive versus a flat 1-cent redemption, but U.S. Bank does not offer airline or hotel transfer partners. The effective value of points is capped at the portal rates, unlike Chase Ultimate Rewards or Amex Membership Rewards, which can exceed that value through partner transfers.
